Dear Sir,

The subject article is quite touching and an eye opener to the world especially the foreignors who just forget the reason and for the cause they are there in the first place.

Having worked and stayed in Jeddah for 11 years, there is no doubt about very hospital and kind nature of the local people from this great Arab country towards the foreignors. Myself belonging to India and from Sikh religion (which also strongly preaches the primary message of Islam stating that there is only One God [Allah] also denoted with respect as Rabbie Almeen or Rab, different names but all addressing to only One Almighty.) So inspite of many foreignors of various nationalities and different religions staying and working in the Saudia Arabia the local people have been very hospitable and kind.

I can understand the pain dear author must have gone thruogh, to, so very candidly and honestly put forth the facts in his article. Bravo! to the law enforcers who never behave in such way towards the beggars inspite of it being unlawful - there is a real sense of humantarian compassion in the Saudia Police keeping the sensivity of the Ramadan Fasting and the final celeberation of Ramadan Eid - not to have ever misbehaved or uttered such unkind and inhuman words.

Further it need to be highly appreciated the way the author had shown utter restraint and took the great pain to approach this foreignor with utmost sympathy for the self created unsecured feeling and bad temper of this so called gentleman - by trying to make him reason with his stupid and uncalled for behaviour and utter lack of his social obligation in the host country where he most probably has entered with a commitment to adhere to the norms, culture and system of the country.

Finally it has been a milestone achievement on the part of the author to have been able to explain the exact happening so very candidly and in the most exact manner possible and yet being so kind and human as not to disclose any kind of identity what-so-ever of this gentleman. Pray Inshallah this so called gentleman reads the article which is written in a language most clearly understandable to him and realises his big mistake, and the only way for his pardon is to find those very persons with whom he had behaved so very unjustly for forgiveness. As I recollect that according to the highest teachings of Islam - even Allah does not pardon any person who has done any wrong to another person, unless the person concerned forgives him.

I take this opportunity to wish you all and the author belated Eid
greetings!! Peace and Prospertity!

Today after a gap of 3 years I have been able to recollect my sweet memories of good time spent in Jeddah after going through the news articles in the English daily The Saudi Gazette or better known as Art Arabia, sitting far away in the eastern part of China.

With warm regards,

Mohinder Singh Narang
